Mitchel Demry: The books are used to look up information, of course. They are reference books, meaning they have facts, not opinions or beliefs. They are filled with facts about animals, cars, anatomy, history, geography, baseball cards, whatever you can think of. You can't check out the books there. You use them to look up what you want and you put them back on the shelf. Also, they have public information about your town and county there. The reference librarian is someone you can ask for information. They are trained to find information through various sources including the internet. Also, you could just ask the reference librarian what she does. She usually seems like a nice person....Show more
