Caryl Mclaen: If you are remotely interested in picture quality, think of a digital camera, not a camera phone. Consider brands of Canon, Sony, Fuji, and Nikon for digital cameras.
Sook Hershkowitz: Digital camera. If you get the right one and printer you can get near enough the same quality as a normal APS/35mm camera. The quality of cell phones photos are not great and with some phones it's difficult to connect them to the computer to transfer the photos to your computer. I have a cell phone and I can't find anywhere to tell me how to get my phone to work with my computer. Digi cameras are a lot easier to connect to the computer and they come with a USB lead, driver installation disks and probably image editing software. Problem with som! e digital cameras like the two I have (one of which seems to have walked somewhere I don't no) is that they run up the batteries quickly. I get told the batteries are empty even when they're still half full. I'm forever changing the batteries and I use Energizer ones which are not cheep either (and they seem to last the longest to me behind Duracells). You can however get special batteries for some cameras. Also with digi cameras if you get one with a memory card slot, you can get a large memory card (about 1gb) and take lots of photographs. You can take the memory card into a photo developing store with one of those self service banks in and get the photos developed there....Show more
Bryant Pillitteri: Digital camera. Cell phone cameras are not as good. They don't have flash for one thing. However, I have both myself. The phone camera is handy because I always have it with me for those unexpected moments. Also, stick with a name brand such as Canon, or Kodak, Fu! ji, Sony...etc. Stay away from the off brands.
Sharee D! oak: Digital, better resolution...means better prints.
Houston Venezia: digital camera. go for sony elph. those are insanely good cameras.
Jerrod Guilfoil: The best camera to get is a digital camera, and a canon powershot, or any canon digital camera are good to get.
Christy Tirabassi: It would just depend on what type of picture taker are you. On one hand if you were a photographer who wants to capture that beautiful waterfall with all the vivid colors, take pictures that actually utilize the capabilities of the camera than I'd say go for a digital all the way. You might want to opt for one with a quality video camera combo.Pro: Quality of pictures, upgrade to memory to hold more pictures, Better zoom, better white balance, better options for picky photographers.Cons: price, to use the camera "correctly" has a steep learning curve.Camera Phone:If you pick the right phone, some phones have a decent amount of migapixels now. I think they are up to 3.2 mig! apixels, to give you an idea digital cameras a couple years back were around the 3s usually. They also have the advantage of just being less to camera with more function than your camera. Your camera can take pictures/video a phone can do that and be your organizer. But really a phone camera is only good for those moments where breaking out the real camera is too much trouble. No one in their right mind wedding pictures for example with them. If you just want a take a lot of random pictures w/o worrying about your equipment this is the way to go.Pro: decent camera for the price (when considering the fact that its a phone/organizer etc as well) , simple, quick.Cons: white balance is usually off, quality of the best phone you can get is restricted to which carrier you have, sometimes just plan disappointing camera situations.Solution buy a great camera and a decent camera phone. They are both useful in their own ways.On the other hand...Show more
Launa Weingarten: get a! picture phone like the... uhmmmmm whats it called... the very slim fli! p phone razor i think it has high resolution on my opinion oh ya and you can alwayys upload them on your computer.
Sabra Roers: 2
Roosevelt Pendill: digital. no question
Hong Hunkin: i have a camera on my cell. its horrible! i love the phone. but it cant take pictures at all. but now they have ones with zoom and stuff. i guess its want you want to do with them.if you want them on myspace. then get a normal camera. if you want to flash them to people. and if you want to send then to other peoples cell's then you want a camera phone.
Morris Olexy: Digital camera, the quality of the pictures that a cell phone camera produces isn't that great.
Berry Gilmore: a digital camera is a lot better than a cell phone camera quality wise, most dont even have a light source for taking pictures in even semi dim light which makes for a bad really bad picture.....however, if you can find a decent cell that has a pretty good camera, it is a lot more convenient to! carry around with you, you always have a cell to capture the moments, where a digital camera is something extra to take along with you...when my digital camera had broke, i had relied on my cell phone camera for all my pictures....the best one i had was the samsung t-809, it took the best pictures i have ever seen for a cell phone camera, and i relied on that camera phone for all my pics for about a year, it came with a computer suite so i could transfer them to my computer easily.....it was so nice, i even got a new camera a pink polaroid which i love, but still used the camera phone for pics more, until i recently dropped it in a drink and it was discontinued so the insurance i had sent me a new phone that's camera is aweful...im soo sad about my old phone, if you are interested in this phone i speak of look it up on ebay, it was seriously the best i have had, and you dont have to take around a camera and a phone and rely on just the phone......Show more
Samatha Ni! car: I would get a Digital camera just because they take better picture! s.
Cuc Gire: If you want good quality pictures buy the digital because camera phone quality sucks
