Serena Doak: ul want sun screen
Letitia Bigelow: Lakes 1-4, putting out from the Kawishiwi Lodge. Excellent canoe-only route!
Launa Weingarten: Depends if your going "car camping" (campground or site) or if your going "back country camping" (middle of the woods, no facilties). I do both and you'll need certain things if your doing the second. You can google it and make sure you don't miss anything. But I can tell you one thing...air mattresses get really cold at night, so use a mat, like a thermarest, if the temp will dip at night. Trust me, I learned the hard way...
Dewey Heersink: Hammocks are lighter than even a 1 man 4 season tent. You dont have to worry about rocks, sticks, roots, level or soggy ground. You can sleep on your side or stomach and not wake up with sore or numb shoulders, hips, or back. It takes only 2 minutes to setup. I have the Hennessy A-sym Expedition Hammock and will never sleep in a tent again. The A-symmetrical design allow! s you to sleep flat, not curled up like a banana. I`ve never had problem with the rain or mosquitoes. the bug net keeps gnats out and the fly is big enough to pull straight down to keep the blowing rain at bay. So not only are you getting a hammock you`re also getting the fly and bug net. The homepage of the site demonstrates the tents abilities as a shelter, a lounge chair and a regular hammock. My only complaint about the hammock is that it can get cold, even with a moderate summer breeze. The wind on your back just sucks the heat out of you, but it is easily solved by putting down a sleep pad, or what I do is lay my rain shell or fleece under the sleeping bag. I havent had the problem since, and I use the hammock year round. When will you ever be hiking in the woods and not come across 2 trees 10-25 feet apart from eachother?http://hennessyhammock.com/Edit:The fly has 2 guy lines that can be staked our and the hammock itself has a guyline on each side to stake out, preven! ting you from rocking in the wind, its soild....Show more
Idell Mulliniks: Yupper, went in on the gun flint trail. I beleive the outfitter we used was seagull out fitters. Would love to do it again. The only part of the trip that drove me nuts Was we misread the map and got lost for awhile, and one of the girls started sing endless verses of an old song to calm herself, till we figured out how to get back on course.Valentine Willinger:
Floyd Labuda: If you're referring to Tent Camping, here's a good list:http://www.packinglistplace.com/campinglistIf you're talking about RV Camping, then here's a list for that:http://www.packinglistplace.com/rvlistEither way, make sure you print the Printer Friendly Version, so you'll have checkboxes to check off each item, and blank spaces to write in extras you think of. Hope the lists help, and have a great trip! --Johnnie...Show more

Nannie Kasee: water, toilet paper, bags with moist towel, matches, tent, sleeping bag, air mattress, cooler with anything you need cold in it, extra light, batteries, deet, food MRE's, or whatever is in a can ,,not parrishable, can opener, plates plastic utensils and cups, blanket , knife, hatchet, pans, some cookstove, good friends and a wild story at the campfire LOL
Von Houskeeper: One of the most important things to take is "TOILET PAPER". You'll be sorry if you forget that.
Luis Farlow: Let him know you're behind him. I don't know which boot camp he's at, but that's the hardest training any grown man will ever have to go through. The things that are probably best to send include modest pictures of you (every! one will see them), letters that encourage him to do his best, and cute little notes about what's going on in your life. Really let him know that you support him, I can't stress that enough. Always focus on the positive things that are going on in your life, don't give him all the bad news in your life (his stress is much higher). Good luck to you too, having a relationship with someone in the military is extremely difficult, and only a few actually come out together....Show more
Tamatha Neubaum: If you are looking to travel light, and be comfortable, hammocks are the clear winner. Like these guys said, warmth is the biggest issue, but if you have a good pad under your sleeping bag and a decent sleeping bag, it's no colder than a tent would be. Hobo Hammocks is offering a free meal to the homeless for every hammock they sell! http://hobohammocks.com
Sammie Bocanegra: Well a tent and some matches always come in handy. Some luxury items might include a pillow, a s! leeping bag, some food, bug spray, and a good (but not necesarily nice)! hat. Have fun!
Shan Lanen: hammock camping is great, however like other gear you get what you pay for, I would recommend at least a half way decent hammock, eagle's nest is a good hammock. You can also buy a bug net that goes over top of the hammock for mosquitoes, but being off the ground alone is great to get away from the crawling bugs. The biggest benefit is you don't have to lug around and put up a tent. You also stay comfortable because your off the ground and sort of cradled, they are pretty nice. They also ball up into a really small size, they can fit in any bag and weigh next to nothing. Only down side is they can get a little cold if the temperatures are low since your in the air, that and you need to camp around trees, but that isn't that hard to find....Show more
Christy Tirabassi: Even though prices of gas are skyrocketing, still many people are going camping, the only difference though is that they are staying closer to home, like in their own sta! te. I love camping too, they call me the camping queen, lol, every year I buy a few more items as far as camping gear. This weekend, my bf and I are going Upstate to Watkins Glen Ny, we are going t be staying for 3 days. Its only 3 hours away from where we live here in NY, and yet not too far and as costly as far as gas mileage goes.I have noticed though as far as camping goes, more people are apt to leave their large motor homes behind and break out the tents instead. If you need help with ideas check out this http://mtnsportlive,com...Show more
Delphine Cajka: I googled a good camping checklist years ago and found this. I have changed it to fit my own needs and those of my family. I don't take everything on this list, but it's a great place to starthttp://www.lovetheoutdoors.com/camping/Checklists....
Vince Delarge: Start with WATER, a shovel, and hatchet . matches as well at Toilet Paper, Damn CAN OPENER. Bruno Galasso: non-motorized areas, please...
Francis Stickle: no need for a sleeping pad, tent or dry ground to camp on, basically need a tarp for rain protection(I advise 10'x8' minimum) and a couple solid trees, the downside is if your in an area where cold winds blow, the underside of the hammock can wick away heat from your back or side, making it uncomfortable and wind can throw you around if you don't find a reasonably sheltered spot.
Raleigh Lufkin: The hard part is finding two suitable trees at the right distance apart, nearby where you want to camp.
Patricia Dornbos: I DO KNOW a lot of people in the US go to camping, but I need to know a percentage. If you know where can I get this information, I will ! be forever thankful. Also I need to know what items do they get for the! ir camping trip. (Please answer ASAP) THANKS!!!
Launa Weingarten: A positive mental attitude. :-)
