ps3 question:does the ps3 have any hardware problems like the xbox 360 with the 3 red rings?

Russell Mckinzie: All electronics are gonna have hardware failure at some point (hey, they're not perfect, even the PS3), but PS3 hardware failure doesn't happen as often as the 360. When it does, it seems to happen after a few years of use.Besides, Microsoft wouldn't know how to make hardware if they read a "Hardware for Dummies" book. It shoudn't come as a surprise that a software company has a far less reliable console than the competition....Show more

Davina David: Yeah it's called the "Yellow Light of Death"It just happened to my friend and she had to send it in and they're gunna charge with a total of like $562 for a new Ps3 and other bull*hit charges

Gennie Shauer: Coolio is bullsh1ttin you about the $562 fee..if the ps3 is under warranty it will be free and if it is not they will charge you $150.And the yellow light of death is very rare which has been stated earlier.

Marco Stolarz: yellow light of death, but don't worry about becuase it rarely! happen i have a ps3 and a 360 and my 360 has gotton the red rings of death 4 times ( so i am on my 5th xbox) i have had my ps3 for about 2 years and has not had problem.

Lillie Yarde: the yellow light of death and other common problems like overheating. but they are very rare

Emile Okafor: yellow light of deathit is very rare though
