Curtis Josef: I sometimes use the "because you'll break it" excuse with my kids. Hang out with her while she does laundry, ask questions and help her. I write down a list of steps to doing things (step 1, step 2, etc.) for my kids and also things you never do (never push this button) for my kids. Write it down and show her so she will feel confident you won't break the washer. My issue with my son is wasting laundry soap by using too much or spilling it. She's probably thinking she can't afford a new washer or dryer and you doing laundry every day will raise the water and electric bill, keep those things in mind....Show more
Cletus Makler: WOW that is the complete opposite of my mom.Tell her you want to help her out so that she can have time for herself. Ask her to show you how to use the washer and dryer so that it looks like you are learning it the right way, and so she will feel confident about it. Tell her you are getting older and you need to learn how to ! do this stuff--like for if you are going to go away for college, and ultimately for when you move out. Maybe that is what she is afraid of....Show more
Son Ahlers: -it'll give her less work-you're 14 you need to start doing thing like these on your own-watch her do laundry, ask question, seem interested-tell her what u know about how to wash clothes
Aron Ramu: Tell her: "Listen Bi+ch, I need to know how to use this machine, so stop the bull$hit and show me"
