Mario Stricklan: "Philosophy is the study of general and fundamental problems, such as those connected with existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind, and language. It is distinguished from other ways of addressing such problems by its critical, generally systematic approach and its reliance on rational argument. The word "philosophy" comes from the Greek ÏιλοÏοÏία (philosophia), which literally means "love of wisdom"."http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PhilosophyIf you would like to understand Philosophy and don't really have the urge to become a philosopher, I would say "It is the practice of tr! ying to understand something at its very deepest level". Of course aside from my long winded ramblings I think the Wiki says it best - "love of wisdom"...Show more
